Pollution, we hear it every other day at school, college and read about
it in newspapers. So what is it? Pollution occurs when pollutants contaminate
the natural surroundings; which brings about changes that affect our normal
lifestyles adversely. Pollutants are the key elements or components of
pollution which are generally waste materials of different forms. Pollution
disturbs our ecosystem and the balance in the environment. With modernization and
development in our lives pollution has reached its peak; giving rise to global
warming and human illness. Due to its many negatives affects pollution is
considering the world enemy to the environment, to human lives and a big threat
to human civilization gains. Pollution can reach to human body through the air
we breath, the water we drink and the food we take. It can cause death 4000 and
many more. Also threatening the live of the next generation.
We will give four examples of pollution and
what cause them. lets start with air pollution. air pollution is the most
prominent and dangerous form of pollution and cause
by remains of factories, remains of combustion energy car
exhaust and many more. the second example of pollution is water pollution.
water pollution has taken toll of surviving species of the earth, almost 60% of
the species live in water bodies and cause by human
and factory wastage and sewage system. the third example will be soil
pollution. soil pollution occurs due to incorporation of unwanted
chemicals in the soil due to human activities and cause
by desertification, salinity, destroying forest inters
and urbanization at the coast of grill lands. the fourth example
of pollution will be acoustic pollution cause by noises at factories,
workshops, airport and train stations.
unfortunately, of we are to look of the causes
of pollution are human made. pollution generally can potentially weak the
Ozone layer which is disaster, resulting increase in temperature
about 5 degrees which will make global warming even worst not that
alone, allowing harmful radiation reaching the earth
causing serious genetic mutation to the new births and skin
cancer to those who are expos to this harmful radiation. a report has
bean made two years ago initiated by world health
organization stating the pollution kills more than 30,000 people
on daily basics in third world counties and more than half
the population on the earth do not have axis to water free of microbes.
its a big mistake to think environment pollution is local problem because
environment does not subject to a regional system.
Over the past few years, various municipalities
in the UAE have developed a relatively large body of environmental regulations
based on local orders, many of which contain strong enforcement provisions.
Among the Emirates, Dubai has the most developed system of environmental
regulations, requiring permits from the local municipality for activities
relating to water usage (sewage/drainage, liquid waste) and to air pollution. The
environmental standards imposed are closely monitored by the local
municipality, which has the power to clean up at the polluter's expense, to
enforce discontinuance of drainage or to cancel existing permits. Furthermore,
the operator of a facility is required to perform monthly tests and to send the
results to the municipality.
At the
end, government should you night to minimize the pollution
and support any project that gives solution to this problem siting
harms rule on the pollution sources and at least remove the factories
far away of cities.
